M. Mažvydas Lithuanian Heritage School in Minneapolis seeks  teachers for the upcoming 2017-18 school year...


Classes will meet on Saturdays according to predetermined schedule.  6 groups of children will rotate through each 30 minute (from 9am-12pm).  Teachers will receive compensation based on hours worked.


The school seeks elementary school teachers, who would give a lot of attention to teaching the Lithuanian language and integrating Lithuanian holidays into lessons, to acquaint the students with Lithuanian traditions and customs.  The applicant need not be a teacher professionally, but must love working with children and possess creativity, ideas and patience.  Must be fluent in Lithuanian.


The school also seeks an enterprising, creative director, who will motivate teachers, effectively communicate with parents, organize events and attract new students.  We seek a candidate with ideas and ability to make decisions.

Requirements for a director:

- Initiative and awareness of Lithuanian cultural edcation topics;

- Organizational and social abilities;

- Administrative and financial oversight;

- Leadership skills.
